Water Causes Damage In Dallas
The increase in the number of flooding and water damaging events in Dallas is becoming too commonplace. This photo illustrates the damage done by standing water in a room. Water pumps and sump pumps can quickly remove the majority of the water. Then wet vacs, air movers, and dehumidifiers take over. The walls probably have to be gutted for 24 inches and the carpeting either dried or discarded, depending on the source of the water. Contaminated ground water poses specific issues. The adjoining photo illustrates what can be done after a major water damaging event. A new laminate flooring is in place.
